While I have a single breasted camelhair coat, I found myself a double breasted polo coat on eBay with peak lapels. There doesn't seem to be a label but it looks it's from a high end American Men's store like Bullock's or something. Seller claims it's in mint condition and it looks like there isn't any obvious wear to the fabric. I'll report back when I receive it on Friday. I would be curious if anyone has any further insight.

So, the end of Winter. I ended up with two versions of a polo coat, neither of them by Ralph Lauren!

incredible that you were able to find it at an outlet. Over the past few years, it seems like the RL outlets have gone the way many others have; carrying merchandise made specifically for sale there vs. true seasonal and discontinued merchandise. Nice find!
I have been a PRL outlet shopper from day one. I noticed the same trend in the outlet stores for Saks and Neiman Marcus.

Update. This is a very nice coat. The fabric is mostly in good shape with some very minor bald spots at the top of the peak lapels and sleeves. It's very soft compared to the other single-button camelhair Malcolm Kenneth coat that I have. The camelhair is softer but less plush than the MK coat. It features horn buttons throughout and has really elegant shape as a result of the belted back.

I think I made the right call buying these vintage coats on eBay rather than buying one new from RL or Anthology. On one hand, I really love camelhair as a fabric and these coats are my first experience with it. On the other hand, the light color might not be best for my daily use in New York so it's not the most versatile. The DB somehow manages to be too formal and not formal enough at the same time, but it's very charming.

I do see them getting use when I visit family on Long Island or Princeton or Cambridge, MA. Somehow camelhair coats feel most appropriate in Ivy League towns or the suburbs.

I really like camelhair, so I'm sure with time I will make excuses to wear these out and about more.

It does but I think only at the end of F/W sales and I feel like it's not been discounted as heavily vs the past.

Yeah i got it on "sale" for $20 off. They usually sell through pretty fast in the smaller sizes so they're unlikely to make it to sale in the first place I find.

Thanks guys. I asked the RL help desk if the coats will go on sale, and when they’ll be restocked. The answer to both was, “I don’t know.”

How is the Angel Ramos polo coat? I've never heard of the company.

Does "unconstructed" mean unlined? If so, my guess it would lose its' shape early.
Also, should be worn with a hoodie and tiger-striped Belgian loafers.
