Talking about a good old fashioned yellow colored raincoat; the kind you used to wear as a kid.

It's raining miserably in NYC today. Wore my dark blue colored Barbour jacket to the office.

Been thinking about getting a yellow raincoat for the longest time. Something sturdy, "modern," well-made, and not necessarily made for the traffic guards or others who work outdoors. Carhartt has one available, but those things are cheap, utilitarian, and made for people who work outdoors who care nothing about fashion.

Ideally, I'd like something that is yellow in color with snap buttons running down the front. In addition, I'd like the firemen's type buckle type fasteners running down the front. And some vents under the arms and sparingly down the side to make the coat breathable. A detachable hood would be nice as well. And a detachable liner for cooler days.

How come no one makes something like what I'm looking for?

Would be keen on Burberry or J Crew doing this.

Looking for a casual lightweight raincoat and found this at American Apparel:

Stylistically this is exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately the reviews for this coat say it's not so water resistant. Does anyone know of similar coats out there?
