what's the waist sizing like on the rb11's? i can wear 31-32. i have the rb2's in size 32, which fit fine. is sizing down to 30 a mistake?

IMO, if the rb2's fit well in a size 32, sizing down to a 30 in the rb11 would be a mistake. The rb11 are tighter through the but and thighs than the rb2s.

You could probably make them work by wearing them higher (they are not as low a rise as the rb6's) but male camel toe is not ever pretty. Apparently, according to the Sartorialist, some Parisians do this with elan, but not moi.

Anybody know which stores will be getting their Fall RBs first? Someone from RB said Louis Boston will be stocking the jeans I want, but LB said they wont get their shipment until at least the middle of August. Know anyone slated to get it earlier?

It's worth phoning Active Endeavors (Chicago, make sure that you mention the Styleforum coupon code!), Steven Alan (NYC), Oak (Brooklyn, NYC), Denimbar (VA), Scout LA (LA, duh), and HTC (Santa Monica), but in general, all the stores get the bulk of their fall stock around mid August, and the marquee stores get first dibs; so Louis is probably a safe bet.

I have RB2s in a 36, and RB11s in a 34, and both fit fine. As long as the 2's aren't tight on you, it shouldn't be a problem. Despite the sewn-in waistband, R&Bs stretch as much as any other pair of jeans.

Great jeans, BTW.

yeah, the rb2 32's, which i'm actually selling now, are a bit big on me. my concern is the length. i usually buy 32 length, with them being a little bit too long for me. 30's hit right around the bottom of my feet exactly (i have short legs), so i figured i could sag on the rb11's if need be. hopefully they won't look like ****.

Just got my RB14b in today. I know Brian said on page 1 that these don't shrink, can someone confirm this for sure? I will have mine hemmed first without washing if they don't shrink. If they shrink in a hot wash/dry, then I'll do that first and hem later. I really don't want to wash unless I have to.

Mine shrank absolutely... 0. After two washes.

Hem em, but leave half an inch or so, just to be safe. Don't want to mess up a $300 experiment.

Even worse than that, I wear the thing for 6-9 months and it shrinks on me, wasting all that time. Thanks anyway. I'm gonna toss it in for a hot wash and dry tomorrow anyway, like I do to all my other jeans. I hate short jeans (happened twice before, %#@$%, you think I'd learn the first time). I'm not taking any chances.

I have a pair of RB6A. What is the fading potential on those jeans. Will they fade over time. It doesn't look like they will. Is there anything I can do about that.

Thanks

Look at the Rag & Bone website, they have examples of RB6a.

For record's sake, I want to put the before and after washing measurements here.

Hot wash and dry in high heat.

RB6b:
size - 30x32
measurements - 32x32
after wash - 31x31

RB14:
size - 30x32
measurements - 31x30
after wash - 30x29.25
