Wait, you wash your jeans frequently because you want to keep them dark?

No, I wash them frequently so they don't smell. I also don't want the type of distressing one will get if they wear jeans for several months before their first wash.

Plus, if you wash them cold by hand and use Woolite Dark or just a little bit of natural detergent, most well-dyed jeans (like R&B) will stay dark for a long, long time, AFAIK.

Yep.

R&B jeans have waistbands that are sewn to a strip of brushed cotton, which won't have as much permanent stretch as the denim twill. Thus, it will probably keep the waist in its shape more and stretch less.

DGP, to keep the color at it's best, I would say wash every 10-15 wearings, hanging them on the balcony or outside to air every 5 or so wearings.

Ok, so, my review of my new RB6:

Short version:
WOW, WOW, WOW!

Longer version:
These fit perfectly, in every way. The streaky shine on the denim looks even more amazing on than on the rack in my closet, lol. And the fit through the thigh is great, not super tight, but nicely fitted. The calf is also great, it's not skinny the way many of today's fitted straight leg jeans are. And, despite being just over 6'1, the 32 length (as of now) is just right. It sits at just the right place on my dress boots so that there is some break, but the size of the leg opening keeps it from falling too far down. I hope that the combination of the resin wash (assuming these jeans have that), the cotton waistband inside, and washing on cold, hang dry will keep these this size for ever (oh, and keeping me this size would be nice too, lol). I'll make sure all is still perfect after I wash them, but if there are no unpleasant surprises, I will be tracking down the selvage version somewhere very soon.

. But seriously, isn't the concensus on the board that they are going to start making 32x34 in the fall?
