STYLE.COM REVIEW - provides some interesting context

JUNE 25, 2014
PARIS
By Tim Blanks

this makes it even worse, i don't care about the personal lives & pasts of designers so long as they make clothes i like. i try to divorce myself entirely from the drivel of celebrity news and this falls dangerously close to that category, a nostalgic walk down raf's memory lane that makes no sense without explanation--would you carry a transcript of that interview whenever wearing random pictures of someone else's past on your back so you can convey the meanings? i like the adidas stan smiths but not the fact that it's stan smiths costing 3X stan smiths because the perforation is an "R" rather than the three-stripe.

also i messaged you and you ignored me !

of course this doesn't have to change whether you like the clothes. just interesting to know some back story. and c'mon, you know if a review of yohji's show talked about the influence behind the collection you wouldn't have this reaction. it's just information.

I think that conceptually it's a pretty questionable, almost child-like move, to just basically stick pictures, basically about yourself, on to things and collage garments like that. Maybe that is sort of interesting though. I do actually think it's kind of fun and cool even if it doesn't make sense. I actually do think some of the garments look good. I dunno.
