The San Fran NM has some Luffieds on sale (James Bond shoe). The saleman told me several in Parsian brown.

Great choice Panzer, I just don't have a spectator in me. I must admit that the 82 is my new favorite last. This and the Shannons make three outstanding MTOs on it.

Thanks. I have to admit that the 888 barely edges out the 82 for me - the 888 just looks more classicly British to my eye. On the Vass, however, the F clearly trumps the U on both fit and comfort.

I have much love for 888, too. I go through phases and right now I'm leaning toward rounded lasts after buying nothing but 888, 606 and 8000 for a long spell.

AFAIK, the New York store is the only John Lobb store in the entire US. Although I heard it was opening another one in South Coast Plaza but don't know if it has opened yet.

I called Lawrence Covell last Saturday, very limited sale selection, mostly loafers and split toes in black calf or suede.
