Does anyone know if crockett and Jones accept shoes from other labels (but still made by them, like bodiley, Foster and son, Ralph Lauren etc..)?
Yes, apologies I forgot to mention I was speaking about the resole/recraft service!Do you mean for the repair service?
First day out with the Lindrick boots!
These feel and fit great on feet; though might take a bit of time to break in.

Yes, apologies I forgot to mention I was speaking about the resole/recraft service!
Me and my family went to London for vacation back in March. While we were there, I had to make the pilgrimage to Northampton of course. My wife and kids made the day trip with me. We went on Friday and I made sure to get there about 30 minutes before they opened. I'm glad I did as a small crowd gathered before the doors opened.
We walked up a narrow staircase into a very small room with shoe racks lining 2 walls and seats along another. I spotted the racks for my sizes (7.5 or 8 depending on the last) and headed straight for them. I scanned for shell cordovan first and foremost and spotted none unfortunately. One of the gentlemen I was waiting with outside mentioned that you can ask the assistant if they have a particular model in your size and they would look in the back. I did ask for certain models in my size such as the Bradford, but again had no luck. I ultimately purchased 3 pairs of non-shell.
While we were checking out, my wife struck up a conversation with one of the 3 ladies working there that day. She mentioned that it was one of the busiest days she'd ever seen. My wife had mentioned I was disappointed that there were no public tours of the factory. After speaking for several minutes, the lady (whose name I now forget) realized how excited I was to be there and escorted me and my family though the back room, down a hallway and into the factory area. She explained that it could only be for a few moments and that she wasn’t supposed to bring anyone back there.
We were on the second floor by the offices which overlooked the work area. There was nobody working, and I think I recall she said they only work a half day on Friday. To most people it wouldn’t look like anything special. The paint on the wall was like a light mint green color, almost institutional. There was nothing fancy about it really. I wasn’t sure what I expected exactly, but I loved it. She pointed out the different stations and what they did, i.e. stitching, finishing, etc. There were tables of shoes in different stages of production all over the place. She allowed us to take some photos, which I did, but I was up too high to get pictures of anything up close.
I was hoping to find some stellar deals on shell and was a bit disappointed when I didn’t. However, her generosity of providing me and my family with a personal tour made it worth the trip. It was an awesome experience!

Nice one, I’d love to visit one day.
So you got Coniston, Pembroke and????
...And Eskdale II. I really wanted the Pembrokes, but only bought the Conistons and Eskdales because I didn't want to leave empty handed. I was on the fence and figured it would be better to purchase them than it would be to leave and regret it.
Had to look that model up. Looks good!
Suede or wax calf?
