Does anyone here own a Lanark? I quite look the look of them but have only ever seen the website pics.

It’s the dark brown burnished leather which I like the sound of. Does this leather age nicely?

I tried them on in the Jermyn St. store last year. For some reason they weren't as beguiling as the Alden 990s. However, they may age nicely, just hard to gauge when you have to make choices...

I have some Conistons in that leather. Ages really nicely. They initially had some red undertones that faded away to more brown over time.

Thank you for your answer. So, would you rather spend more money in handgrade shoes? Are you wearing everyday work?

If I'm choosing between BG and HG, yes, I'd definitely spend the extra money. I've got 3-4 HG pairs in rotation for work and they've held up very well.

Never realised they had done a Coniston in that leather. It looks to have aged very nicely. I was hoping they would lighten up a bit in areas of wear and not just stay a uniform dark brown or nearly black.

Thanks for that.

They’re a special makeup that I got as remainders.

Does anyone have numerous C&J retailer/stockist website link? If so, could you please share with us? I just know the well-known retailers such as pediwear.co.uk or robertold.co.uk. I would very appreciate if I can have some list of C&J sotckist website, especially in Europe.

Thank you in advance.
