So as you can see, lots of models, but a somewhat random selection. And not the "greatest hits you see mostly being posted here.

And very few hand grades (2).

Honestly the Radnor was the best thing on this sale.

There are some popular boots on there though like the Chestnut Skye and Tetbury but I guess black suede isn't as popular

I bought the Eskdale 2 in suede during the summer sale and it is a damn fine boot, personally prefer that over the Coniston but I think I'm alone with that opinion ?. It's replaced the Chiltern as my favourite C&J boot

I would love the Radnor though. I was at a C&J store a few years ago during a sale and tried the Radnor in the Russian Grain and really like it but went there for the Skye ?

Cross-posting in the vintage shoes thread - can anyone help to date this pair of C&J? I picked them up as NOS on eBay.

They are water bison, and feature the old C&J logo on the footbed, but damned if I can find any info on when they stopped using that font. Model numbers are on the third image if that helps anybody.

I confess I rather like them - the fit is noticeably slim compared to a modern Handgrade model in the same size, and while I don't buy a lot of exotic leather it does have a certain charm.

I would love a little bit of sizing advice. I have a pair of Cavendish loafers in size UK9 that fits great. Sometimes, but not always, I'll use a very thin leather insole with those. I'd like to pick up a pair of Coniston boots, and have heard conflicting advice about taking the same size as Cavendish or going a half size up. I don't plan to wear particularly thick socks — I won't pretend that I'm going hiking. ?

Does anyone have a pair of both and some advice to share?

Thanks!

hey y'all , looking for some sizing advice ; interested in getting a pair of harvard cordovan loafers, i believe they're on the 314 last. anyone know how they fit compared to last 325 cavendish / aberdeen last alden tassel cordovan / edward green picadilly 184 last? i read they are unlined, does that play a role in its fitting qualities or just comfort? thanks y'all have a great day!

just picked up my third pair of Coniston, finally in dark brown grain. It joins tan and rough out brown in varying stages of wear. God help me I hope it is the last but I hear the black rough version is pretty sweet too.
Thanks to @Noblekostas for the help on this one. :) View attachment 1692841 View attachment 1692842 View attachment 1692843

They look great! There is also the Coniston in Black Scotch grain....but the dark brown is my favorite.

Indeed. I love their brown grain to the heavens and back. This is my third pair in that leather and it’s ridiculous but I am trying to find more models in it. ???‍♂️

I can only compare to 184, but 314 has a slightly larger heel and a bit more instep room. 314 i took tts and size up half for EG.
