no problemThank you very much for your insight! The main reason behind the exclusion of the Boston/Harvard is due to the color availability and the Harvard being unlined.
With these being my first pair of loafers outside of the suede tassels I just want it to check off as many boxes as possible. But, due to my lack of experience, I wasn't sure if the more rounded toe of the Grantham would be appropriate with more casual separates.
Thanks again for your comments!
Pembroke in black cavalry calf. The leather was astonishing.

I'm also doing the same right now! I'm taking a short break and letting the leather absorb the polish for a bit.applied mirror shine on my cavendish, getting it ready for the summer View attachment 1602426 View attachment 1602427

Very aesthetically pleasing photos btw!
Those Ross's look great. Got me thinking about them quite a bit. How are they at the toes compared to the Conistons? They look a little wider at the forefoot.Greetings. I've been perusing the forum and this awesome thread for a while now. I enjoy C&J and love all of the ideas and insight you guys have!
The Conistons have now joined the boot rotation. My goal is to get as far into the year as possible wearing boots every day. And... somehow... resist... buying... more boots.

So one would be wrong comparing it to polished leathers?C&J calvary leather takes more of a shine, correct?
Not exactly. It’s a calf leather coated in a very thin layer of wax. Looks and acts more like cordovan than calf.C&J calvary leather takes more of a shine, correct?
Definitely doesn’t act like shell. It makes for a good low maintenance beater but expect the standard corrected grain pitfalls re:creasing and aging poorly. Edit: example that is something like 10 years old. Mainly worn in slush/salt/crap. It’ll take a beating but definitely doesn’t roll. Not exactly.
