Brooks brown shell "brogues" today. Unlike the C&J Marlows, these have a flat welt:
I enquired as to the current list of sale items. I previously stated that my size was UK 7.5 but it wasn't made clear of these models are just my size, or a complete list of all sale items.
Boston, black cavalry in G
Camberly, brown suede
Cavendish, ocean suede
Chelsea 8, brown suede
Chelsea 8, black wax
Chepstow, tan grain
Cobham, dark brown
Connaught, brown suede
Cork, whisky cordovan
Hallam, black, dainite
Hallam, brown, dainite
Milton, polo suede
Sydney, black dainite
Sydney, brown dainite
Truro, blue calf
No massive discounts - all were approx £50 off full UK retail. Slightly dissapointed with the price and selection to be honest. Non of these are on my hit list.
You know, I would seriously consider that. The Cardiff does indeed have a different look/aesthetic to it with the flat welt.
While I cannot 100% commit right at this moment, should it gather momentum I would likely jump on board.
Double sole (JR or regular leather is fine with me)
Can anyone identify the leather used on these C&J shoes? Scotch grain, country grain, Zug grain, whole grain, wood grain, against the grain?
Separate names with a comma.
