It's an odd makeup. I was skeptical when I first saw it but have since fell in love with it. I particularly enjoy the fine (small perforations) broguing, medallion-less wingtip, open lacing, brogued heel counters and slim, comfortable last. This was my first pair of handgrades.

Color is cavalry brown and has since been polished with red/burgundy Saphir.

As an aside, Belgraves are scheduled to arrive today :slayer:

Opted to go with Belgrave instead of Westbourne. Still wondering if I made the right choice

It's pretty much exactly like my favorite C&J - the Drummond - except in derby format. I, like you, am particularly fond of the small scale of the perfs. Interesting about the color, I'm not familiar with all of C&J's colors/names.

Looking forward to seeing your Belgraves.

My AS MTOs arrived today. Pics will be coming in the Shoe Appreciation thread by tomorrow.

Awesome. That was the 2 lace derby?

Big fan of the Drummond as well. However, it's your shell Ginsburg that has me envious.

Yes - Justice Ginsburg has been tanned and her hide is now in use on my shoes. Poor old thing.

And yes - it's a 2 eyelet derby. The model is called Pimlico.

The all C&J week continues. I covet these boots.

Will I burn in hell for it, or simply suffer in purgatory?

Thanks, the fabric looks awesome. Too bad I'm a 32.
