I know Barney's C&J sizing is sort of a crapshoot, but does anyone own the Barney's Harvard? Any sizing advice?

With Barney's, I've taken to just ordering the two sizes I think will fit me. They've got free returns now.
I took a crapshoot with the blue Harvards since they only have one of my suspected sizes though.

argh, I would snap these up but are just going to be .5 size too big. 8.5D Trubalance, 9D Lindrick, that's a half size smaller than these 8.5 E most likely, right?

I did too with the brown suede since they only had one size that I wanted to try. I'm not terribly optimistic as loafers are a harder fit for me than laced shoes, but let's see.

I think so. I'm wearing my UK 8Es today which I am happy with. I think I would be Trubalance US 8.5D too if I had any shoes in that last. My Marlows (wingtips, pennies, and tassels) are all U.S. 8.5D, but they are snug.

How did those Kenwoods I sold you fit? I was experiencing too much heel slip in those.

it's a weird thing, I have other 9d Kenwoods that fit great, the 9d's I got from you destroyed my feet and I had to sell them. and since then I've bought another pair in 9d bc I realized I may have just not given yours proper break in time (though my other 9d's never hurt me). So...I dunno.

    I'm a 9d in the Marlow pennies

It's possible these might work for you depending on your socks for the day. My UK8E Harlechs feel just slightly looser than my U.S. 8.5D Marlow wingtips.

Barney's added a couple more style to their sale.
A wingtip in brown or black and a brown dubmunk wingtip.

My Barney's suede Harvards arrived and they are keepers! If anything, they run small (Barney's usually seem to run big), but that's fine for a suede loafer. The suede will give a bit more than calf, and I definitely don't want a loafer too large. If anyone cares, the Dainite sole of my US 10D measures 11 7/8".

I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me with sizing advice for the C&J 335 last. I am:

    Carmina Rain, Forest, Inca: 8UK
    Carmina Soller: 7.5UK
    EG 202: 8UK

    Should I be taking 8UK in C&J 335?

Harvard loafers in suede - sorry for the bright carpet in the background. I wear an 8D in Alden Van with a perfect fit, 8E in Park Ave, found the 8D Harvard to fit well but as previously noted snugger than the Barney's Chepstow or Malton in 8D.

ETA: wow, looks like I'm wearing hammer pants in that pic. Let those not distract you!

^^ Very nice! I acquired three brown suede makeups recently so I didn't pounce on these at $229. Now my size 8.5 is gone. I'll probably regret that in the spring.

They're quite nice - at the price, and with the daintiest sole, I plan to use them as "fancy" boat shoes. At the same time, you're not missing anything too amazing with these!

Question of my own: if you could only have one of the below, which would it be? Peal cordovan boot and SWB, both for brooks, both 240 last:

Beautiful love the boots I should have jumped on those when on sale.

I too bought the SWB the shoe is a bit loose. I measure between 11c and 11d for my shoe size and wear a 10.5D in AE Park Aves. I bought the SWB from BB in a 10.5D and its fairly roomy, I might have to go down to a 10D. heres the pic of the shoe on thoughts?[IMG]
