Breaking in my new pair of Islays today and thinking I could have sized down another half size:

NS, they look great, good work.

What size are you?

I went with the 11UK, which is the same size I wear in Carmina's Forest, Rain and Inca lasts. The main fit issue is that I have a wide foot with a low instep and the 365 last has more volume than I'm used to.

Just to point out that you also have a long foot. Much longer than my UK7.5, I was looking for a steal :smarmy:

They do look excellent though. Certainly on my list, along with a few others. Congratulations.

Thanks, Cleav. I'm inclined to keep them anyways.

Hi

Could anyone confirm if these Ralph Lauren boots were made by Crockett & Jones and would anyone know the name of this model? They're made of rough out leather if that'ts not explicit with the photos. Many thanks in advance!!

I m interested in buying these too. I dont know what size to go for. I wear 10G in churchs ryder and 9,5 to 10 in Trickers wide last (4444) fitting 6.

@Tamyom, they're Alfred Sargent to my eyes on their old 88 last. No idea of model.

@Giannis, be safe and go for a 10.5, I'd say.

Thank you

Crockett also advised me on 10.5, I m just hesitating as I have some heel slip in the trickers (maybe narrow heel and wide foot)

Nice boots.

Did you go with the same size as you have in other C&J models?

Yes and no. My only prior C&J purchases/try ons involved the 240 last from Brooks Brothers and Marlows from Ralph Lauren. Both were too tight for me in my TTS 12D. Based on this, I went with the 11UK here and suspect I could have gone down another half size. I put an insole in today and that seems to have solved the issue. To the extent it helps, I'm an 11UK in Carmina's Forest, Rain and Inca lasts and these are noticeably bigger.
