I like these C&J for Foster & Son. Good deal at £275 with post costs included! My first Chelsea boots, never liked the look of them but now, love them and the snuff. Cheers

It looks like the Foster & Sons shoes from the recent sale have gone to consignment. I picked up a pair of F&S Cheaney's for £99.

I've been wanting for a while to get a pair of C&J cordovans and quite like the look of Skye. However I tend to like my shoes sharp and sleek and so far have only worn 341 and 348 lasts. Is the 335 last as sleek or is it more "rounded"?

Well the 335 is much higher in profile and more rounded then both 341 and 348 since are slim and sleak lasts. The 335 is how ever kinda sleak for being a boot last.

The 335 is not Tricker's 4444 blobby, but it's still pretty much the opposite of sharp and sleek

I made this for you, Skye Cordovan(335), Finsbury(341) and Westbourn(348).

Girouf, thank you very much indeed for the picture. They seem to be quite rounded compared to the other two lasts (especially the 348). Although at the same time they do seem to be quite sleek as boots go. They're quite far from the bulky "army boot" look.

We would need a group of 12 to get the reduced GMTO rate. All widths have to be the same.

Price in the USA would be (a currently quite reasonable) $828 (excluding VAT) + shipping.

    £650 including VAT
    £541.67 excluding VAT

I would love to get this going so please spread the word if you are (or even if you aren't) interested!

    PM me with any questions.

    Cheers,

    -Ed

That's a sick price. I was at the NYC store a few weeks ago and saw a Harlech there and the retail was $1100 and $1150 for the Skye II. Wish I could swing those. Good luck with the gmto!

Yeah the NYC store hikes the prices up something chronic.

    True.

So high - comparatively speaking - that I essentially never buy from there, typically opting for one of various English retailers, or C&J direct.

    Hey guys,

Minor PSA: The BB cordovan boot is priced at $1200 CAD in Canada, which equals about $930 US. If the SA can be convinced to apply the corporate discount, then it's steal for American customers.

JUST FYI - The last time I dealt with BB in Canada, I was told they have a corporate policy that disallows shipments to the US. I have been told similarly by the BB online folks. :(

Yes, but I was referring to proxys!

if you want the boot, and they apply the corp discount, I can proxy it for you.

Sir, can I please ask where have you seen this boot and who stocks it? I like the way it is in the grained calf!

I would like to ask if any members can comment on the Skye 2 cordovan boot please? I am considering getting a pair but at the price they are I want to get as much info as I can on how they hold up over time, comfort, durability etc. Any advice gratefully received.

    Heres my Skye 2 Story,

Bought them thru Grafford, http://www.grafford.se/en/nyheter/sky02 in my regular size. Felt a bit roomy but not to big, I like that i can have a thick sock in them on real cold days. Have hade mine for i think 3 years and they hold upp god and only gets more comfortable. The boot shaft felt a bit stiff from the start but after some wear it fits lika a glove.

Skye 3, Westbourn, Weymouth, Pembroke, Finsbury and Cavendish i all wear in size 9 UK.
