Try them on first. I have tried Conistons in grain leather and shell and the fit for me was never quite right.

Thanks. I'll try and see if I can try them on first. Any particular reason it didnt work for you?

I just bought a pair of Coniston boots from above for $525. I'm US12D on the Brannock and a UK10.5E in the Coniston is a great fit for me.

Thanks for the tip, and the sizing advice. This is actually where I was thinking I would order from.

Can someone comment on the 325 last in general? Is it fairly TTS, or does it run a little narrow/wide?

I have the Linderick boot by C&J on the 325 in an 8UK which is what I wear in most other UK shoes. I'm also always a 9D in US shoes. Not sure if that helps but that's my experience.

Conistons in shell?! More info please.

The burgundy shell model from BB. Not formally called the Coniston, but the design was essentially the same, and, as I understand it, was on the same last as the Coniston.

Whether I went tts or half size down, the boot was just too roomy at the instep and led to an an overall sloppy fit.

This boot was on last 240 and is no longer in production. That is to say the BB Burgundy Shell Cordovan boot. Coniston is 325

Very well. I owned both boots - Coniston in tan scotch grain and the BB captoe boot in burgundy shell. Neither boot fit well. I eventually off loaded each pair.

Where do you find these unicorns? I passed on C&J adelaides as I thought they only came in chestnut (and black)?

Got those little beauties, alongside the Monkton above, from the Factory Shop :nodding:

Don't ask the next question, it will only make you cry :stirpot:
