1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Any difference in built quality between them or is the RL one just as good?

thanks but i meant do you notice any difference between them or do you think that C&J make both shoes to the same quality level?

i figured it would because you would think that a brand having them ordered would have a QC team to check them out before the sales so they can up the charge for them over the actual factory brand.

    With pleasure :)

Bonus : Coniston included. Beautiful boots which looks better with age and also interesting to compare last 341 and 325

I have a pair of C&Js for RL, Barneys, Brooks Brothers Peal and Company, and Ben Silvers. All are great quality shoes or boots, and I wouldn't imagine them being any less if purchased directly from Crockett and Jones.

Crockett and Jones as far as I'm concerned and in my experience makes great quality shoes and or boots.

These are the one pair of C&Js I have yet to get that I still find myself wanting.

    They are nice.

I have two pair of Marlow wingtips, three pair of Peal & Co. cap toes (two brown, one black), one Pembroke in tan scotch grain, and these boots. They are all fantastic. I've never been disappointed by a C&J purchase.

Love them. They are just such a classic dress boot. Can't go wrong.

Good choice. I always try to pull my suede out a day after the rain / snow has all cleared up.

    Absolutely.

Unfortunately other things kept getting in the way, and then they kind of disappeared for awhile there.

    Why ever not, quite right.

That said suede copes well with all that nature brings :slayer:

I'm sure there are some UK proxys around here. I actually like the black calf version more than the cordovan :hide:

    Edit:

It's considerably cheaper if you order from here:

    http://www.ralphlauren.fr/product/index.jsp?productId=35490731

$380 if you order from UK; $320 if from France.
