Unless there's a shop doing a promotion the best way that I've found is to order directly from the Jermyn St store (doesn't matter which one). The GBP price is the same direct from C&J as Pediwear, et al, but the stock list is worlds better. When you deduct the VAT, this is also cheaper than ordering from any of the US suppliers at full retail, including C&J NYC.

For example going rate in the US for Hallams (and many other BG) is $550, in the UK GBP283 (ex-VAT), which is ~$470. Shipping you'll have to pay for with either so that doesn't make a difference and you'd have to pay sales tax in NYC. Similarly Selbournes (and other HG) are $750 in the US and GBP371 (ex-VAT) in the UK which is ~$620.

Robert Old offers C&J with free shipping. May have to wait for stock.

For me, yes. Opinions will vary on this one.

This is good advice except you also have to consider the risk of having to pay import duties/brokerage fees.
If the retailer uses Fedex/DHL/UPS, you're looking at a high probability of paying about 8.5% plus $12-30 brokerage fees.
C&J shop uses Parcel Force/Royal Mail which has very low chances of having to pay duty but their shipping costs are a little high.
Pediwear has used postal service and UPS in the past.

FYI, I am culling my shell collection and have listed this a.m. in flea bay Ashdown Burgundy Shell PTB UK 8.5 and a pair of Marlow Tassels 9D US. Would prefer these go to a good SF member home instead. They are just broken in and have a ton of wear left. I find I just don't wear these much and want to fund another purchase. Also, I always place toe protectors on from the onset so the double leather soles are not worn down on the toes. PM me if your interested. Thanks

    Just a heads up, folks.

A call to C&J Royal Exchange today informed me prices will rise by 6% ( on average ) this coming Monday. Time to order before the rise?

Why blame the BoE? Hasn't the pound been rising relative to other currencies? So assuming they import calf from the EU, should prices be going down and/or staying the same?
