... and I'm sure you are aware which BB Peals are C&J. Some Paul Stuarts are C&J too, but they use lots of other manufacturers as well.

Barneys in LA doesn't have C&J

Best bet is probably an English site of Barneys website

Yeah, SF Barney's doesn't carry them anymore either. I was told because they don't sell well. Barneys.com has them and if you place an order and find they are not to your liking, you can always return them in store.

I hope it's not the same as what happened to gaziano and girling.

Crockett and jones was the only reason I've stopped into Barneys lately.

Thanks for all the replies. I've been thinking of getting a sleek black chelsea boot FWIW.

    Nice shoes, Cleav!

I found someone selling a pair of the light tan Purdey cap toe boots on eBay and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

It's the Pickering model which is like a Coniston but with a higher leg and on a different last (365?).

    Pics next week.

Purdey has offered some great makeups. I note that they list many of the boots as made in Northampton, Are all their boots C&J?

My size, happily enough! I owned a Pickering in dark brown previously but it was too big so I sold it. Love my Conistons but prefer a higher leg on my boot so let's see how I get on with these...

All the ones I've seen have been.
