1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It's always worth dropping in to the C&J factory shop when passing as it is only open for such a short time. I hadn't planned to go today but was close by and dropped in.

Found a pair of Dark Brown Scotch Grain Islay boots in my size, so a purchase was necessary.

Was told they very rarely get the Islay in the Factory shop and were surprised when they found them in the Stock this morning. Apparently they don't last long when they do appear (1hr after opening was todays result).

They are a size 10. I'm not usually a 10 but seen to get away with that size on C&J boots.

I have a pair of Tetbury's which are 10's as well but a couple of pairs of shoes, Draycott's etc which are 10.5s, from other shoe manufacturers I'm usually an 11 or 10.5.

so you went with half a size smaller. Interesting as C&J suggested me to take a uk 10.5, as I told them I only have one british pair which is uk 10G.

It will depend what socks etc you want to wear. The 10 is snug for me and there is no way i could wear thick socks.

I went a half size down as that was all the factory store had and it fitted; all be it quite snug.

The best thing is to try a pair somewhere before ordering if possible.

Surely the best thing is to try before you buy, but unfortunately in my city, and I think in my country, there is not a single retailer of british shoes. So I have to guess and hope they fit. Returning for an exchange last time costed me 140$.

New Tetbury. So comfy they bring a tear to my eyes.

Bit hard to photograph but the suede is like the hue of a brown Labrador
