Ha, i see, I was thinking of the GG version...
Yep, definitely the C&J Arran. They're a size 11.5D on the 365 last, which I hadn't tried before. Not giant on me but a little bit big, so they'll have to move on unfortunately.
Can anyone confirm the maker of these? If one of you has them, do they fit TTS? Thanks.
Thanks - as I expected.
Did you get a 40% off coupon?
There are some new cordovan models on the C&J site
A new derby on the 335 last called the Cardigan. Reminiscent of the Marlow wingtip but with metal eyes
The tan calf version is damn sexy too
Can anyone tell me about this new 335 last?
Any vendors that can do a group C&J MTO? We see it with carmina a lot, but not with C&J.
C&J will make anyone a MTO calf shoe for about $750. You dont need a bulk order
The soles are oak bark so those will last longer, meaning that you have to get them resoled less frequently, which both saves money and increases longevity. And while i agree that fit is the primary determinate of comfort, the HGs have far nice liners which helps too.
I've also found that the creasing on my HG shoes is much, much, much less than on my BG's. After a day or two with trees in it's virtually gone
Crockett & Jones Hand Grade vs Main Line - It's all in Two Weeks
So there's no way to avoid an mto charge with a group buy?
I don't believe so, no. I don't think that it matters whether there is one of you or several of you, C&J charges about 50% more (well, considerably more, anyway) for an MTO shoe.
I think they request six pairs to avoid MTO fee. If they charged a MTO fee regardless of how many shoes that are ordered i don't think it would be so common with stores selling their own make ups.
So C&J will do an MTO with a minimum order if we contact them directly? Or are you referring to a specific vendor?
