    The 348 is quite long.

As I was in London earlier this week I had the chance to be fitted at the C&J store on Jermyn Street.

On the 348 I ended up sizing down quite a bit in order to keep the forward toe space minimal (which will reduce creasing). I am somewhere between US 8D-8-1/2 in general. Ended up in the UK 6.5. I usually end up in a UK 7. The width changes very little when sizing down 1/2 size and it's always worth a try with long lasted shoes.

I compared overall length of the C&J on the 348 to a pair of G & Gs on the TG73 and as it turns out the CJ in size 6.5 is exactly the same length as the GG in size 7.5.

If you can't find somewhere to try them on locally call one of the CJ stores on Jermyn Street, they will ship you the two most likely sizes for you to try on, you just keep the size that works and send the other one back. Yes, you will have to pay for the extra shipping but once you've done this once they will keep your sizing information on file and the next time you order from them will make recommendations for sizing based on the last.

I have a Canon 5D, and use an L-series 85mm F1.2 lens. Natural light indoors (it's cloudy out so light is nice and soft).

Shoes are on a small nubuck sofa, and am experimenting a bit with backdrops - used Mrs D's astrakhan coat for the most recent ones today (unless she asks, in which case I would never dream of doing such a thing).

After watching the AE video, I think I agree with the fact that the 348 last is long and you may need to downsize a bit more than usual. I have two crease points in my Drummonds, so I think I may have went too long with those. I am usually a US 9D, but I went with UK 8.5 E for my Drummonds. They felt comfortable in store and I didn't even think to try on the UK 8 E. I think if I went down in size though I may have needed to go wider in width.

Thanks for the tip. I was thinking of ordering a pair from Pediwear as well. The rep from Pediwear told me that I should go with my size in Tricker's last 4444, but I'm hesitant as the Tricker's are way more rounded than the C&Js I'm looking at. :satisfied:

Do you have the right size? That shoe is creasing/beef rolling right down into the medallion

All well-worn Weymouth's I've seen usually have some creasing near or on the top of the medallion. They are a whole cut, not a cap toe.
