This is coming on the anniversary in 2025. My bet.Imagine how a pair of green scotch grain Pembroke's would look...

I like them but I can’t imagine they’d get much use if I bought a pair
They’re fine for the office too - they go well with a decent navy chino, corduroy or brown tweed. They’re a great casual boot but they’re also quite elegant in smart/casual (I regularly wear mine in the office)
That's my problem with boots. I love my Tricker's Stow, and have Coniston-look-a-like pair from Loake (Roehampton). They fit great, the problem is I just don't wear them very often either working from home or having to drive a car to get to the office. Shoes get a lot more wear and easier going to the office or quick visit to the shop.I like them but I can’t imagine they’d get much use if I bought a pair
I agree @Ypuh that shoes do get more wear. They are more wearable and practical. But again its down to lifestyle isnt it. Everyone's got a different one. And its also down to weather since if your in a cold wet climate then boots have more appeal. That's my problem with boots. Pembroke's offer a perfect balance for business casual, and as long as managers are allowed to wear New Balance's, I'm fine with green scotch grain. Being my favorite color, green is pretty easy to style during autumn and winter. I own a few green sweaters and shirts that I wear on a weekly basis.
I agree that lifestyle and climate dictate whether boots or shoes are a better choice. I’m the opposite to you though as I almost exclusively wear boots, with the majority of my shoes sitting idly in my cupboard. My shoes get more of a wear in the warmer months, but still not too much as I tend to wear trainers during the summer. It’s a shame really as I do have some lovely shoes, but they tend to be used mainly for formal occasions.I agree @Ypuh that shoes do get more wear. They are more wearable and practical. When i floated the idea for a green scotch grain (GSG) pembroke few months back, i rounded up that it got very little interest. And i gave a disclaimer at the time that this would be the case since Shoe GMTOs dont seem to get much interest or slign-up as compared to Boot GMTOs.
As I've mentioned before on here, 2025 will be the 35th anniversary of the Pembroke. And we can expect some unusual or new colours and materials in a special 35th anniversary edition of Pembroke. Let’s wait and see.

I agreeI love the leather as it looks in the first picture (dark and muted), but in reality it's more like in the second, a green tone which does not appeal to me.
I really like these, especially the lower profile. I recently bought a pair of pre-owned shell Marlow loafers as a "project" shoe. Original plan was to convert to vibram gumlite but I think these could work.DBSG Islays that have been switched over to Londra. Infinitely more comfortable and grip while being considerably lighter. And the profile is still sleek and dressy .
