Have any experience with C&J's 325 last and Cheaney's 125 last? How would like you describe them? Which are more snug?

I have C&J Chelsea 11 in 325 last but they are little roomy in toe box area, so I am looking for chelseas with similar design just less roomy so I am considering Godfrey D from Cheaney. I also checked chelseas 8 from C&J but they have too pointy last for my style.

I receivef yesterday the C&J "Lingfield" chelsea in dark brown on the chiseled 348 last in UK 7. They fit oerfectly my slim or shallow feet and I love them already. Compared to the chelsea 5 on the 325 last or the beautiful "Hamilton" 007-Bond chealsea on the rounder 236 last the "Lingfield" on the 348 last has much less room/volume in the toe box.

Best regards

The Lingfield is a very sharp boot. I bought a pair for a friend and wish I had kept them for myself! Enjoy.

I find the Cheaney 125 last much narrower than the C&J 325 last.

my last comment on this pityful story:
@FashionNewbie92
please be aware, that your chelsea 11 is on last 335. 335 is simular to 325 but wider. just like a 325 in G.

Thank you. Probably I will sell my new C&J Ch11 :/ I love how they look, unfortunately I don't feel comfortable during walking 1h and longer. Maybe I will try Cheaney 's chelsea with 125 last.

Sorry to hear about the fit issue after going through the buying process FashionNewbie92.

I also seem to recall 125 Cheaney last as wearing more tightly than C&J 325 when I have tried on the former (own the latter). I have boots in Cheaney 12508 last which are definitely more snug than C&J 325.

What a shame and good luck with trying other options. From your description of what you’re looking for the Godfrey would definitely be a logical one to try.

I am still not decided yet, because style and color of slate suede is amazing. I am considering also as option contact C&J about MTO chelsea boots, same as CH11 in Slate Suede, just more snug last. But this will cost significantly more.

Godfrey looks solid, but on photos looks their brown color too dark what I am not fan of.

If dark brown suede would work for you as a colour then the below could be worth a try. They are C&J on 325 last and wear tighter than the Ch11:

Although I have to confess I wear the slate a lot more.

Other option I seem to remember you were looking at a slate Chiltern? This is a considerably tighter fit again.

Yes, I considered chiltern whole time. But then I saw your photos in this thread and I give try to chelsea and they looked amazing with jeans so I changed my mind. Also simple and quick putting on shoes is addictive so I kept them.

These dark brown are nice, but not very versatile for me. I wear light-blue and mid-blue jeans 90% of time, so slate was perfect color to match.
