Is possible that these boots are just not built to my foot because of uncommon shape? Unfortunately I never had Chelsea boots before so I can't compare fit different boots.

And last question, can you tell me if exists some reliable test to check if my boots are big?
chelsea 5 and 8 are build on last 335, suitable for wide feet.
try chelsea 8 on last 341, much better for regular feet!

LAST 335

Last 335 is a Main Collection last, with a broad round toe and increased toe depth. Cut from the same cloth as 325, 335 is potentially one of the most over shadowed lasts in the collection. 335 produces a heavy, but stylish shoe & boot. It offers plenty of room in the forepart and gives an air of fashionable wear with its Chelsea and Brogue boot offerings.

Yes, I checked also 8, but they are too pointy for my casual style. It is pity that there are no another casual chelsea option from CJ for not so wide foot.

So do you think I choose correct size? It is just wide model?

sorry, but these chelseas are just not built for your feet.

if you choose the right lenght, "they will offer plenty of room in the forpart", see description of last 335 by c&j.

if you downsize, the width may be better, but then there is a lack of length.

you could take a look at carmina or carlos santos for better fitting chelsea boots.

I tried 8.5 as I mentioned in original post, length and width was perfect, but when I walking heel was pushing of the pleace, which didn't happened in size 9. In size I have creaky sound on heel because of too snug surrounding on heel so I returned 8.5 and kept 9. I am still thinking about it if I kept correct size. But because of that heel on 8.5 I am thinking that 9 is correct size, but boots are just too wide for my foot.

Thank you so much to all who contributed and provided their valuable feedback in this thread. It not only helped me learn about this brand and their products but so much more.

Well,
I went to the store at the Burlington Arcade this weekend and ended up with completely different shoe than I had planned earlier.

It is the Connaught 2 in Dark Oak Suede on the 379 last.
The Junior manager there was kind enough to suggest this last as its a new one taking care of the slimmer heels.
He was himself wearing the shoe and was quite happy with it apparently.
My other shortlist was Harvard 2 ie unlined dark brown suede loafer.
However, as I own the Dark brown Crawfords I thought Ill prioritise Connaught 2 and maybe look at the latter maybe next spring.

I also did pick up the Kew. They offered me a second pair which apparently had some creasing at the top of heel hence could not meet retail sale criteria of the company.
They offered a discount of 145£ on the pair.
Its a bit snug at the widest part of my feet however they said that it should open up as the leather is quite soft in handgrade.

Afterthoughts,
Am happy with my purchases but just wondering if Connaught 2’s are a bit too formal in today’s day and age.
Happy to receive comments.

For my next purchase I do have black crawfords (Grantham’s didnt fit that well in the heel) which fit like a charm (363 last) and harvard 2 on the list.
I've had my eye on the Connaught 2 in this suede.

How do you like the fit in the 379?

Quite snug and well supported at the collar/mouth of the shoe, caveat being I have slim asian heels.

The toes feel quite roomy tbh I have never worn this classic english shape before hence am still getting used to it. Have mostly worn chiseled toes previously.

Can update further as time progresses.

my experience with last 379 (sulgrave and waterford) is according to the last description at c&j: they fit relativly short.

in last 325 (pembroke and conistion) I fit comfortably in an uk10, in the 379 models I needed an uk 10,5.

hello newbie92,
chelsea boots should wrap your feet in the middle section very close.
you can't adjust anything by lacing, if they are to wide, you will get ugly creasing and out of that blisters.
its a pity, to get the optimal fit can really be a science...

there was once a good scedule as download at the homepage of shoepassion. by this you can not only messure the length of your feet, there are some marks for judging the width also.

I created photo how it is bending during step. This spot where it is bending it is also spot where boot is starting roomy, mostly above foot, wide is just little wider than my foot (maybe 2-3mm more) but height is main issue. I am able to push boot from top aproximatelly 5mm.

uh, looks painful to wear, three big bulges.
I did foot measurement what you sent me, it looks that I am between 27.2 and 27.4. I measured my foot also when I ordered boot and by this length and CJ guide I should have 9, but based on this tool I should have 8.5.
