  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Speaking of Pembrokes, I've found some at a great price but not sure on sizing. They're 9.5UK on the 317 last - G width. I wear 9 in 365 last, but only with thin socks so wondering if I can get away with these... anyone got experience of both of these lasts?

I have both. The 365 is a more generous last in the width and toe box, however in the G width the 317 is very generous in the instep and not too bad in the width. Put it this way, if the 365 came in a G fitting, it would be much more generous than the 317.

Thanks, it's a risk but I'll give them a go. There may be some Pembrokes appearing in the SF buy & sell in about a week's time.

The frustration for me is that disappointingly the 317G Pembroke is not a 325G Pembroke, quite different lasts indeed.

Any pictures of the two side by side? Looking at the photos on the C&J website, they seem to be aesthetically very similar. I know you've said before that 317 is pointier but this isn't apparent in the stock bird's-eye pictures.
