I take my usual size in both 335 and 365.
However. I find 335 to be more comfortable. The 365 tends to be a bit tight/restricted in the throat/instep area. This is all personal and dependent on your feet ofcourse
This is also true, my 365 instep needed a bit of loosening as it was intially a little tight.

How does 335 compare to 365 in terms of the heel fit and overall length? Also are there any overall width differences at the forefoot?

Interesting feedback, which in many ways matches mine but goes to prove how personal these things are. Compared to 365 I find the 335 feels less well fitted across the instep and vamp - too voluminous, and so I need thicker socks and have tried out tongue pads to take up the volume.

Compare that to boots in the 228 or 325 last, where I find myself taking my standard size 9. 365 in size 8.5 is my sweet spot though. That took me quite a bit of trial and error (and bought/sold boots) to find.

I wonder where C&J got the inspiration for the Aldershot, may be here?

In 2013 John Lobb (Paris) showed a collection of bespoke shoes to represent the "Spirit of the Cities". This particular model represented London:

I can see some resemblance, but the JL model looks more refined and the belt is much better integrated.

Yes, the 365 is wider for the toe’s definitely.
I could size down on 365 bei half a size in the 335/378 I couldn’t. The 335/378 with just 1/2 centimetre more width for the toes would be the so good though.

I’ve had the 378 for direct comparison to 365 in same size 7

With regards to prices, sadly for me they have now passed my personal spend limit of £500 . I just bought a pair of RMW Rickaby derby boots at £400 (which the wife doesn't know about yet 😅) and that will be the last pair of nice shoes I'll ever buy. I was eyeing up the Chelsea 11 and Kelso but they are now north of £500 😪😓

So I have 2 chukkas, 2 chelseas, 2 derby boots, and 1 pair of Oxfords. More than enough for all occasions

I admire your restraint

Silly question, but what was the actual price hike? I presume it was across all C&J styles? Or was it just with MTO/GMTO? Newer into browsing the brand, so I have no baseline on what the price was.

It’s across the whole range. Some have gone up by 5% eg the Rough Out Coniston but can’t remember the old prices to be sure by how much the others have gone up by.

Oh, so it's less than Alden's yearly hikes. I thought it was something (more) egregious
