C+J did a sale last week of June and one that launched on Boxing Day in 2020. I would assume they would launch a Boxing Day sale again this year.

However it's not full range. It's usually less purchased models or retiring models. You're not going to see the bread and butter stuff.

I could dig up a list of the BD sale from 2020 if that's of interest.

Best bet I’ve found is to watch the retailers who stock them rather than CJ direct. Cavour is an affiliate and has some of the best pricing I’ve seen every day but they also have sales events from time to time including some SF specific ones occasionally with a promo code. Noble Shoe sometimes puts some on sale but has I think a 10% off for signing up for their newsletter. Hammargruppen in Sweden has some good sales. The Paul Stuart range goes on sale regularly as well.

But there are exceptions. Barney's had some great deals on limited sizes during their death throes for example.

Hammargruppen I think is your best bet in the short term. Sizes are a bit limited but prices are pretty good. 375 shipped or so for mainline, 475ish for handgrade.

Stockists abroad drop the VAT as well plus the sale price

I didn’t need anything but earlier this year with the sale at cavour it put CJ Handgrade somewhere in the $400 range with free shipping.

definitely hit or miss and not for when you’re in a rush. Do agree though that US stockists + sale basically just gets you the mail order price and you may as well go direct.
