Hello gents,
I’m new here. I have always had an interest in classic menswear, and after buying my copy of Gentleman by Bernhard Roetzel I was convinced to buy my own pair of C&J Pembrokes. Reading this thread on Styleforum really helped me a lot in what to choose. As you can see in the picture I went for the brown Scotch Grain and I’m not regretting it! It’s a wonderful pair of shoes and the fit is amazing. Thanks for all your help in posting your experiences with C&J in this forum! Looking forward to discuss all the great aspects of classic men’s style with you.

Brooks Brothers sale today includes cordovan! Specifically the 240 lasted boot is app. $660 before taxes. I think this is just about how much I paid a few years back.
Not sure if such an easy score will be available again as cordovan is usually excluded from their sales.
Decent size run, but they are out of my size.
Unfortunately you can use the code just once. I used it up on a pair of Alden unlined LHSUse code BC1818
It brings the boots down to $560.

Hey all -
So, first I will acknowledge I am a moron.
I ordered a pair of Lowndes off the Barney's sale at 30% off. They had one pair only and it happened to be my size. Or so I thought. I didn't realize they were selling in American sizes, not British.
So I ordered an 11 thinking I was getting a British 11 and instead got a British 10.
Can't return obviously w/ Barney's going under.
Now - my real foot size is a 10.5 EE or so American. I usually wear a 12 in shoes that don't come in widths. I can get the shoes on, they just feel a bit tight.
Should I try a stretcher or should I just try to sell them?
Thanks,
