    Thanks for the information.

Ok, I need to do some research then. I never had anything on the 360 Last. I can do a 9.5E in 348, other C&J's are 10E.

They look like the Somerville (on the 363 last) but the Somerville doesn't have the punch cap.

I had the same problem, i went to the c&j shop here in london and they advised me it was because i used too much wax when polishing. Using saphire shoe cream a couple of time solves the problem.

    Probably 9.5EUK on a C&J last FWIW.

    Negative.

Somerville does not have eyelets, quick lacing hooks, quarterbroguing, and is suede above the lower vamp.

It's a completely different boot, although I can't identify it.

Looking at picking up either a pair of loafers or boots from Pediwear. I'm looking for something versatile that could ideally work with everything from jeans to wool pants. Thus far my collection consists of a brown and black balmorals, and a pair of lighter brown driving shoes, so either loafers or boots seem like the next move. Foul weather aptitude is a major plus as well. I bought a pair of the Edgeware off someone hear earlier this year and they are leaving me wanting some more C&J.

Anyways, thoughts on the versatility of:

    Northcote in brown waxed calf
    Chukka in dark brown suede
    Chiltern in dark brown suede
    Tetbury in dark brown suede
    Brecon in dark brown calf

    Douglas in espresso suede
    Sydney in dark brown calf

I really like the Northcote, but worried about how it'll be with more casual stuff.

Personally would go for the Northcote since you want them to be more durable during foul weather and I believe they are still making them with Dianite. Pediwear is great but do they have your size? If not, sometimes it takes 3+ months. Just FYI.

Pediwear does have my size in the Northcote actually. And I'm looking at Pediwear since they take PayPal and I have a bunch of cash burning in my PayPal account.

Do you think the Northcote is too formal to wear with jeans?

Edit: And for the models not in my size, I don't mind waiting the 8-10 weeks, especially if I end up getting boots. Their prices seem to be the best on the internet too (w/o VAT), as far as I can tell.

Prices are great as well as their customer service. I have bought from them numerous times and always satisfied. Personally, I think the Northcote as a casual boot because it is a blucher whereas I have bal boots for my suits. The cap toe style does make it look dressier but maybe others can chime in on their opinions.

Dropped by Barney's and was intrigued by the Arran. Anyone have it? It seems like chromexcel leather and seems comfortable. I wonder is Barney's is going to have another sale price drop again soon?

I wear mine with jeans all the time during the cold months of the year. I have the dark brown.
