Would love some feedback on 337, if anyone cares to share. A comparison to some of CJs other lasts would be most helpful (325, 341, 360, 335, 348). Thanks

I’m glad you mentioned socks - I realized that I neglected to mention it would make a difference. If you might wear thicker socks with the boots, that would be another vote for 8.5 as the best starting point.

Absolutely. A person MUST consider the fact that they will likely go half a size down when wearing thin dress socks! A vital lesson.

    I can comment as follows:
    I have a high instep.
The 337 last much more narrow that the 325 last.
I wear 11E in 325 last and 11.5E in 337 last. I did try the 11.5E in the 325 last but it was too large particularly in the heel.
I wear 11.5E in C&J 324 last but probably could get away with an 11E.
I wear 11.5D in Alden Barrie last and 12D in Alden Grant last.

Thanks for this :) I am hoping its narrower than the 325 (particularly in the heel/instep) which will be perfect for me. I tend to be les cautious with oxford since they always seem to tend to fit my feet better due to my lower instep.... I should buy more oxfords...

^^^ doing a little side-by-side lacing comparison? My vote’s for the bar lacing.

I'm in Canada. I started thinking of a pair of boots this past fall, when the weather was a little messy for shoes, but not yet at full on winter boot stage. If these had a commando sole I'd definitely be thinking of wearing them primarily with thicker-than-dress-socks and extending their use into the winter when there is snow/ice underfoot. With Dainite, I think they will be primarily fall/spring and maybe a bit of wear summer/winter, so I need them to work with dress socks. In any case they would spend there time outdoors (walks, errands) rather than under a desk. I shall keep this in mind.

Wanted to see if I noticed a comfort difference. I didn’t, so bar lacing it is.
