Quick Width sizing question

ive come across a great deal on a pair of size 10A shoes (normal size for me is 9D) and was curious about how the width would run. thanks in advance

Depend on which manufacturer's 10A and which one's 9D and which last was used for each shoe. Despite the standard, each maker interprets the standard differently. The only guarantee is to try them on.

A is spectacularly narrow. Trust me, I have tried many different permutations of what you are describing for vintage shoes and they usually don't work beyond a C or an E.

As a 9D you can wear a 10 probably as a B. And the heel will be too big.

There's no way to be sure without trying, but I would bet that it doesn't work.
