Quick question on suit hangers

I found some well constructed cedar hangers with wide shoulders (and felt on the bottom part if I wanted to put pants on them as well) for a reasonable price. They're great, except there is not much in the way of a forward curve to the arms. Is this bad because the jacket shoulders don't hang as naturally as ones that curve forward or am I completely overthinking this and they're fine because they have nice wide parts for the shoulder to rest on? See attached pic for what I mean.

I know the Nakata hangers or (or the ones at Kirby Allison) are the best, but I feel like the price is absurd considering many of my jackets cost less than those hangers (I thrift a lot).

Hard to say without seeing them on your clothes. They do look kind of flat and wide. Cedar is also meaningless for moth prevention as the repellent oil eventually dries out. When I lived in America they had a chain called Container Store where you could buy nice hardwood suit hangers cheap, as well as cotton garment bags to store them in during moth season.

If I may ask about the sordid topic of coin, how well priced are they?

Honestly, as a broad shoulder big guy, I quite like the width on the hanger you show.

As @maxalex said, Container Store can be a good option. Plus, one can return to buy more matching. But the closest decent hanger is around $14 each.

I ended up keeping them because my wife rolled her eyes at me and laughed that I would overthink something as basic as this. I realized that the hangers I have that curve forward are also thin, so my thought is that the wide pads on these achieve the same effect as the thin hangers that curve forward. Perhaps it would be better if they had a slightly different shape, but they seem well constructed and smell good (I realize that over time that will go away) and the price was right.

I considered the Nakata but I think on this board someone recommended the vintage Setwell hangers.
Very well made, solid wood and have some width to their end. I bought quite a few off eBay for very reasonable prices.

Nagata hangers can be found for a reasonable price. The lower tier ones are great and really not expensive. I think I purchased a six pack for $150.00. I don't mean to offend as some may find this too dear. But, $25.00 a hanger is fine by me.
