hi guys...i need a little help firming up my first Edward Green order. it will be on the 202 last. i tried to test fit in the store before ordering, but unfortunately i was only able to try on an RLPL in the 888 last. that said, the 9.5E UK/10E US fits very well on me on the 888

FWIW i am pretty much a perfect 9E on John Lobb 8695.

searching the archives suggests that if i am a 9.5/10 on the 888, i should go down half a size to 9E/9.5E. does that make sense? i would appreciate the confirmation as i really want to get this right the first time

TIA!

This will probably confuse you further but my only experience with 202, Kurt Geiger/Edward Greens, they fit true and like other EGs I have tried. I have tried 888, 808, and 606.

I've only got EG's on the 202 last (KG Sandringham's and black Chelseas). I went with an 11 in the Suede Sandringham's as I take an 11 in Crocket & Jones, Alfred Sargent, Barker etc. etc. and found them wearable but very snug. When I bought the Chelseas I went up to the 11.5 and found they fitted more like other brands 11's.

Allow me to add a little more confusion

I take the same size (length) in both the 202 & 888 but I need an 'F' width in the 888 where as an 'E' in the 202 is fine.

I'll add more confusion...I think it more depends on your foot shape.

For me, I can wear the same size in the 202, 606, and 888.

My size....YMMV
EG
888 11/11.5D
89 10.5/11E
101 11/11.5D....its a loafer and its tight.
202 10.5/11E (down half size from 888 but up one width).....perfect fit!
505 11/11.5E.....a little loose
Lobb.
8000 10.5E UK
William (¿last) 10.5E a hair loose

Regards.
ps. if u tried on the 888 in RLPL it was likely a D width.

Gents, i appreciate the assistance. i have a fairly narrow foot - like a wide US D or narrow US E. so i ended up placing an order for 9/9.5! i'll have my fingers crossed for the next 48 hours....

Shikar - i think you are right, the RLPL may have been a 9.5/10D. it fit very sleek
