(FWI, posted this in the Alden thread, but I'm afraid that venue is more for Alden shoe-Appreciation than anything else.)
I just broke my Alden cherry with the purchase of some 401's (black indy boots). Any musts in terms of leather-treatment/waterproofing before walking out of the house? Any strong suggestions as to how to care for them? I'm not planning to baby the shoes, but they are too purrty to leave completely at the mercy of the cruel world.
