I'm thinking of getting a MTM brown or green tweed suit for the fall/winter that I will most likely split up into a sport jacket, dress pants separates. I'm toying with the idea of getting pleats/cuffs on the pants and was just wondering if there were any styling guidelines for pleats?

    Are they okay/ideal for tweeds?

If I tend to wear my pants lower on my hips, would pleats look out of place as opposed to a higher rise pant sitting on a natural waist?

Is the forward or backwards pleat choice simply stylistic or functional (and which one is the traditional choice)?

    1. Fine for tweeds, probably ideal anyway
    2. Probably not but a tweed suit would suggest that you wear them properly on the natural waist
    3. Choice
You might consider braces for a tweed suit which would certainly give you a more authentic look as well as a more comfortable garment.
