questions on denim production line

Hi,

I am working on evaluation of environmental performance of a textile mill...final product is denim.

To be able to compare the environmental performance of Textile company I should find the numerical values like the liter water consumption/ kg product produced. I wonder which sources you can advise which cover this kind of information about these values.

and also to do this I have to understand the production line but I hace some confusion...after the weaving there is denim mercerisation and finishing process. should I take into acccount this denim mercerisaiton process as a part of finishing processes or as a pretreatment process. Also as I search mercerisaiton is carried out with 27-32 Be caustic but in the mill I study 25 Be caustic is used....

I would be glad if somebody help me on these issues
