Found a pair of vintage? Cole Haans in what I believe is my size. I just wanted to make sure these are in US sizing and not UK. They are marked Benchmade In England but it is an American brand. Anyone have any idea?

My guess is US sized. Like you said, it’s an American brand and likely intended for the domestic market.
I know the Peal & Co. shoes made for BB, are the same as well as the C&J shoes that were made exclusively for Barneys.

Can speak to @Phileas Fogg being correct on that point. Bought some C+J from Barneys thinking it was British sizing and it wasnt.... whoops.

Did you ever get these shoes and, if so, what was the sizing like? Any other general impressions?

Old thread but I wanted to add some info for future searchers...

I bought a pair of the same model shoe in the OP, "Benchmade in England" captoe oxford made by Cheaney. Mine were marked size 7 D but they were at least as big as a US 8 D, which leads me to believe these are sized by UK standards, even though the "D" implies US sizing.

I will say, these shoes were absolutely beautiful for the pre-owned price. They appear to be very well made and the leather was very soft and it shined up well. I had to flip them because they were too big for me.
