I need to get a new set. How do you like these washers?

    Do they clean well?

How many years have you had them?

    Would you recommend them?

    Thanks for the help.

F, I don't own them, but I have been researching home appliances recently so I give you my two cents. Generally Whirlpool is regarded as one of the more dependable brands at the lower/mid range price levels, better than GE, etc. At this price point I would buy them.

Thanks Cross. Lowes had a sale for the set for a very low $898. They delivered them this morning to the house and so far they are doing a great job.

Kinda need some good cleaning for my fancy dress shirts. Very happy so far. Build quality is a bit better than the Neptune from a visual standpoint (connections, tub seals, etc.) I think we will benefit from 4 or so new generations of front loader tech.

Bought a pair recently myself, not quite at that price (that's per unit, not for the pair, yes?). I'm very happy with them so far - we bought the WFW94HEX model washer. I haven't tried the steam function in the dryer yet, I'm curious to see if it helps with ironing shirts.

I have found some water pooling in the gasket of the washer, so to prevent mildew I'm getting into the habit of encouraging the water to drain by gently pulling the gasket up after each wash, and leaving the door open a bit.

$898 for both washer and dryer. Steal of a deal that I could not pass on.

So far four loads in the set is working great.

Dang, that's a hell of a deal! We paid more than that per machine!

I know, it was some crazy pricing. They really are working well. Clothes are as clean as they have been. It's very good at sensing the right water level.
