How many of the sellers here that post often, actually work at the retail stores/outlet?

I assume you use your employee discount to buy the item cheaper and then sell it.

Most sellers just live near outlets and try not to get busted by staff.

I'm starting to think yellman got hurt very recently.

EDIT: He may just be the opposite of opportunistic, i.e. a nice guy. Hence all of the PSAs.

Yeah, great deal. I pointed out the price and told them I thought it must be a mistake, but after an extended consultation in the back, they honored the deal. I was stunned.

At one outlet I frequent, I've been asked how much I wanted to pay for unmarked items. I've literally named my price.

For true overstocks -- miscellaneous items of which there might be only one -- I often get the impression a lot of places just want the stuff out the door. Especially if it's been banging around and you're a good customer.

I've often wondered this myself.

There are plenty of thrift and closet cleaning sales, but a lot of people who have lots of high quality, new stuff.

I'm legitimately curious, do you just live near a really good TJMaxx?

Busted? As in, the SA asking something to you at the register like "hey, why are you buying 18 shirts in the exact same size and pattern?"

I guess I can see that happening, although a smart SA will smile, take the commission, and say "thanks, come again."

Hell if folks were getting busted wouldn't the retail companies just start busting down on major sellers on Ebay first? I've seen mass, and I mean serious mass, of items being flipped by single sellers with tons of ebay history. They don't seem to get "busted" though
