Question about RL Purple Label

What's with the label?

I have five items from this line - one suit, one cashmere sweater, one dress shirt and two silk ties. On all five, the actual purple label either has fallen off or is hanging on by little more than a loose thread. I like all five garments and they've served me well, lasting long and proving durable. That purple label itself, however, just can't take the beating. This surprises me, given how the identity of the whole line hinges on that label.

Apologies for the irreverent post--I was feeling, well, irreverent.

It's funny, I have a few purple label ties that had the same problem. The ties are very beautiful, but I found that the purple label itself was applied very cheaply. I usually find this on ties that have the label as the keeper, but these had the label toward the tip of the tie.

Was thinking the same thing...the shirt / tie / suit formerly known as Purple Label.

If anyone's label falls off completely, PM me. I'd be interested in buying it.

Sounds like the best of both worlds. Good clothes, no label.

That said, RLPL stuff has never done that to me. I've never managed to keep the label on a Kiton tie for more than three or four wearings, though.

Then what's the point? Do you throw them out or donate to charity? I'm sure the poor would equate them to muffin stumps.

I stitch VERSACE labels to my shirts. I hear Kevin Bacon does it as well
