Question about Nike Blazer Mid '77 Vintage QS

Really liking these Nikes. I know basically nothing about Nike.
The description on these says "Show your Chicago Pride"

Does anybody know what these have to do with Chicago? I talked with Nike and they couldn't help either.

Other than they have vintage looking patina(shade of color), not much other than an old-school vibe. The Blazers are always a good classic look!

OK thanks! Just confused why they are connecting these specifically with Chicago. I don't understand why "vintage" means you're showing Chicago pride. And it's strange that Nike has no explanation either haha

They're inspired by old school uniforms with the green insole being based on the green bill of a baseball cap

Er....black and red are White Sox throwback colors as well as Bulls colors. The Blackhawks also have black/white style jerseys.

Yeah, even more confusion. Just so random. I do think it's dark blue though on the shoes.
I like the shoes but have no affiliation with Chicago and don't want it to be awkward if there is some team or something I repping without knowing it
