Question about neckties

Which necktie lengths are in style these days? Narrow like for example Taylor Lautner is wearing in those two pictures

and Zach Galifianakis in this GQ cover two years ago.

Or wide neckties are in style? For example, like Brad Pitt had on in 2008

or this one from ex-Degrassi co-star known today as Drake the rapper in GQ two years ago.

Here's something you'll like from my local department store Belk when they published this on their Sunday newspaper ads weeks ago.

I'm guessing you mean width not length. Don't worry about teh fashuns. Tie should be proportional to width of jacket lapels and width of shoulders. Zach G looks ridiculous in a skinny tie IMHO for instance. Fwiw I'm 42l and prefer 3.5"

Almost all my ties are 3.5. I have a few skinnier ones that I would only wear with specific suits depending on lapel width and context of dress.

Brad Pitt is the only one who looks good because he has a jacket. That other guy has one too, but as it was pointed out, he looks ridiculous with a skinny tie.
