Question about buying Skinny Jeans

Im going to buy some Levi Skinny 511 Jeans.


I wear a Size 34 Waist and 34 length with normal jeans. So should I size up since I am buying skinny jeans? Or am I good?

Buy your normal size. If you can't fit into your proper waist size, then just go for something like the 514's or 501's.

Levi's run big in my experience. I sized down for 514's.

Choose them carefully, skinny may look some odd if you have 34" waist

For what it's worth, I sized down one in 514 Tumbled Rigids, and they stretched to about my usual size. I don't have experience with 511s.

Just try them on. 511's and other Levi's are widely available at chain stores.

Get your nromal waist size I'd say, but it might not be a bad idea to consider 36L. It is better to get your skinny jeans a little long.

Skinny jeans are for skinny people, not just people who are "unchubby." I wouldn't be shocked if someone with a 34 waist looked ridiculous in skinny jeans, depending on their height. No shame in not having the proportions for skinny jeans and going for slim instead...

I wear a 30 in most Levis. I got wear a 30 in 514's. However, since the rise is lower on 511's, I had to get 31. They've stretched a fair amount in the waist after several wears, but to even begin to button them I had to go with a 31. I'd try a few different sizes on and see what works for you. But if you're just ordering off the internet, I'd go 1 inch larger in the waist that you do with most Levis/jeans in general.
