I purchased for my father a Polo cashmere sweater from Ebay for father's day. Unfortunately, the sweater didn't fit, so I'd like to resell it. The sweater is certainly cashmere and appears well made (nice seams, no surface pilling, etc.). But the tag in it is unlike any Polo tag I've ever seen. I'm wondering about its authenticity at a result and wanted to run it by here. Take a look at the auction pics, particularly the second pic where you get a good shot of the tag. Is this an old Polo tag? A tag for a foreign market? A normal tag? Any help would be appreciated. Auction pics

i have such few polo items that i'm likely not the best to answer but i've always understood that the word polo is always outlined in a box and that it says "polo by ralph lauren"

the way it is printed on the paper tag attached to the sweater looks more authentic to me than the label on the sweater

but i may be wrong
