Question about an item in a thrift store.

Yesterday I was in a thrift store in a small college town, and located a jacket from Barney's New York. There was an inside label, which I photographed with my phone. It reads "Kilgour, French, & S___". I can't make the last name out at this point and my memory's blanking on the final name.

It was a 42L and it was being sold for $12.

I'm a 36 or a 37, so I've no interest in it, but it seemed to be a nice garment and piqued my curiosity.

Stansbury.

Where was it made?
That I'm not certain of -- the thrift store has really weird hours, so with my work schedule it's unlikely I'd be able to have a look at it until Thursday of next week, if it's something someone here might be interested in or something that should be eBayed.

I might be interested. Does the name of the small college town start with a G? A W?

That'd be a G, my man.

Thrift shop on Main St. in Granville.

They keep absolutely bizarre hours (I think it's volunteer-based), so you may want to give them a call prior to making any sort of trip.

(petescolari @ Feb. 11 2005,14:29) I thought you might say Gambier.
Now who'd ever want to buy a haunted jacket?
I think Stuart Pierson needs a new one after the train ran over him.

So did you buy it orbitingio? I drove all the way out to Granville today, waited until 1:00 P.M. for the store to open, and then I couldn't find any decent 42 long jacket for $12.

I did not buy it -- looks as though someone else must have snapped it up. Sorry you made the haul and weren't able to get the jacket. Hopefully you found other sources of amusement in Granville -- there's a vintage shop in town if that's your thing.
