hi guys i am a size 44 euro

and most boutiques in my country only cater size 46 onwards

however they do offer alteration service which they will send to some local tailors..

and i wanted to get a suit from Prada so i need to ask .. does it really possible to alter a 46 jacket to fit my body?

will it look weird? or it will fit perfectly if not perfect then nicely is also enough ...

i dont want to spend 2.5k$ on a suit that make me look bad!

thanks in advance ..

if you are going to spend 2.5k, why not try MTM or Bespoke

Giorgio Armani offer made-to-measure. Prada may also offer MTM (not quite sure)

Why not do that? why settle for something pre-made and try to adjust to fit you?

Too expensive for you?

unfortunately none of the fashion forward brands offer MTM here in my country except Ermenelgildo zegna and brioni maybe.. but those brands are too expensive for me and they are not really popular here ..

and i am not going to buy elsewhere.. (travelling cost could have been better spend on more clothes!)

Yes and maybe yes.
I know some jacket sleeves cannot be altered and I suspect the length of the jacket as well.

It may still fit you 'nicely' after alteration but it depends on your body shape and the style of the Prada suit. I tried some Prada suits before and didnt find them really slim fitting.

In truth, I have shortened the sleeves of many jackets before, I have 'expanded' the sleeves before and no one commented on my jacket length being too long.

I'm pretty sure Prada do size 44. It may be harder to find than larger sizes, though I thought smaller sizes are more common in Asia...

oh they are not that slimfitting? Ive always though they are though .. So altering a size 46 jacket to fit size 44 person and still looking good is possible?
