Question about a shirt collar

I have an Allen Solly dress shirt with a button down collar on which the buttons attach to flat loops on the underside of the collar points. With or without a tie, about half of each button is visible when collar is buttoned down. Is that thought to be normal or acceptable with this collar? If not, do you have any tips on how to eliminate this? Also, what is the name of this collar type?

This is my first experience with this brand and, other than the collar concern, I love the shirt. Great fit, material and construction.
