Quarter-lined Dinner Jacket: a Stroke of Stupidity or Genius?

Kind of. Before I started buying bespoke, my jackets were all two-button with peak lapels. I'm just not happy with the look. Since I like soft, natural shoulders, the points seem somehow incongruent.

Anyway, if I don't get a shawl lapel on my dinner jacket, I won't have it on anything.

I agree with Vox on the off-white dj w/ shawl collar, they are elegance defined.

Exactly my sentiments. If I was to get a lighter weight one to complement my blue barathea DB, it would be a black mohair single breasted.

DB 4 on 1, peak. Remember, you don't always pay for fabric cost differentials.

I actually think DB is more practical for a sole DJ.

Just like mine, but I assume your father is accounting for stature as was I.

Showing enough linen I think is a bit more crucial with a dinner jacket than in a regular jacket.
