Quality of Hickey MTM?

I have the chance to pick up a fairly nice looking charcoal HF in my size for $325. Allegedly it was MTM but not picked up. The inner tag is gray and just says "Hickey Freeman, Nordstrom" with no model line. Fabric is Loro Piana 130s, which I assume rules out the Ltd line.

I'd bite on it for sure if it was the Madison model, but I've heard there's some variety in the quality of their MTM. Still a good deal?

My Hickey Freeman MTM has a "Hickey Freeman, Bespoke, Nordstrom" Tag. At the top of the fabric tag it says: Tailored for "my name", followed by the fabric information. It is possible that they tag their MTM suits differently now.

Well, that's interesting. Possibilities:

1) HF Collection - should say collection?
2) HF Madison/etc - should say brand name
3) HF Ltd - Should say Ltd, not sold at Nordstroms?
4) HF MTM - Should say Made for XXX?

None of those really seem to fit with just "Hickey Freeman, Nordstrom". I guess HF Collection makes the most sense, but I thought all of those said "Collection" on them.

If it's MTM, then it would make sense for it not to be an existing model- the customer specified details. Just check if it's canvassed or not, that's the best way to tell. If it has hand-sewn buttonholes, it's an older model, probably HF Collection black label.

BTW, I've seen HF Ltd. cashmere sportcoats selling for $1400, not on sale, at Nieman Marcus, in White Plains, of all places- they were labeled as such, but still, very surprising

If it fits well, it's a deal at that price. I don't know that I've seen a Ltd. model suit with LP fabric. You mentioned the inner tag, but I don't think you mentioned the pocket tag. What did it indicate? Normally HF will have a model name if it's a mainline suit. If it's a Ltd. it will probably have an odd model number or code rather than a model name. Someone else mentioned that there will be an embroidered HF in a circle with a needle through it low on the (left?) interior if it's a mainline as well. I've never been able to figure out what the hell the actual labels (Bespoke for HF, etc...) actually tell me.

I don't have access to the suit right now, but I dug through some ebay HFs and found one that's identical tag-wise: here

It has this store tag here, not sure if that's of any use. Unfortunately none of them seem to have a pic of inner tag.

Seems likely to be a mainline HF from what people have said, until I can actually check the canvassing in person. Thanks, everybody.
