Ran a search and came up with minimal info on Gordon Rush shoes. Saw a pair at Nordstrom Rack for $110. Liked the style, but know nothing about the overall quality.

Anyone?

Stay away.

Thay are Chinese-made shoes, cheap construction, I would not buy them...

I have a pair of their suede boots and they're not bad. I didn't expect much for $100 or so at the Rack, but they look pretty good and are very comfortable. But yeah, they're no EGs or even AEs in terms of construction.

Most of the "leather" shoes they make use really bad "leather", though.

I disagree. While no one should (or would) every try to pass them off for AE, they are well constructed for the price. Bought a pair at Nordstrom's half-yearly a few months ago, and they are Italian made, leather soles, and quite comfortable. Considering the price I paid ($130), a good buy. The other GR's I shopped were also solid for the price. Certainly better construction than comparably priced (or more expensive) Kenneth Cole, and the styles were stylishly classic-leaning without being stodgy.

Depending on what you're looking for, they could work fine.

$130 could be used to purchase discounted AEs. I wouldn't pay more than $70 for a brand new pair.

I bought a pair of his in 2005 for approximately $240 and they were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. He was in the store (Nordstrum in San Francisco) on the day that I got them and although I can't find much of a biography online, he said that he worked out of San Diego and that they were made with Italian Leather. I had not doubt to doubt him especially as I had already made the purchase when we chatted.
